Is Something the Matter?

Sara Emily Barker http://sarascloset1.blogspot.com/ Is Something the Matter? Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations 3D Embossing Ranger Distress Oxides 1

Hello! Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year to craft. When I was shuffling through my new Ideaology Ancestors Paper Dolls, this disturbing young lady spoke to me, and I knew she had to go on a card.

The background panel was embossed with Tim Holtz' Lumber 3D Texture Fade. I folded the card before placing it in the folder and embossed to get one continuous strip. This was a rejected piece from a projecct quite a while ago, so I don't remember what colors were used but I did add smears of crackle paste, Ground Espresso ink and Black Soot Distress crayon.

The Cobweb Thinlits die  is one of Tim's 2017 Sizzix Alterations releases, but this is the first time I've used it. This is a such an intricate die, but it cuts beautifully! I adhered it with Collage Medium Matte.

The spider panel was colored with Antique Linen and Black Soot Distress oxides. I did a monoprint with Halloween Layering stencil and Black Soot, but it's mostly covered. I  added more stenciling using Black Soot Distress oxide.

I chose a section of Regions Beyond paper stash to add some creep to my chosen Paper Doll. I distressed it with Black Soot crayon. The Paper Doll is popped up on Ranger black foam adhesive. As if she didn't look creepy enough, I added some black circles under her eyes with Black Soot crayon and colored her with Twisted Citron marker, Vintage Collage medium and Twisted Citron crayon.

The new Halloween Clippings stickers offer lots of phrases and words to add to your Halloween projects. I chose this one and colored it with coordinating marker, Vintage collage medium, and ink. These stickers need not be reserved for Halloween; so many of them can be used throughout the year.

I wrapped the layers with Ideaology Paper String before adhering to a card blank and added a Halloween Typed Token and a spider ring from my stash. The token was colored with alcohol inks and Distress Crayon.
