Happy Halloween!

Good morning, Halloweenies!

Here's a tiny taste of my display;  hopefully the rest of the show by midnight tonight.  Can't promise any earlier...big, busy day!

Have a safe day and night!

UPDATE:  Here's some photos!  This is not all of what we did; more done today, but not much!  I may post the additions.  Have a happy Halloween!

This chandelier turned out great on Halloween night.  I have toilet paper roll sleeves I have transformed into candles dripping with wax and I put flameless candles in them.  Forgot to take a photo.

My cauldron changes colors, bubbles and steams--couldn't capture it with the camera.

I added paper bats to my orange lit balls on Halloween night.

I have 5 of these very large votive holders.  I cut out mice to make creepy shadows.

    1. Hi Julia! thanks for visiting! I think I would have been, too, had I been knee high! The trick or treaters were all so much fun and good sports last night, though!

  2. Good grief Sara! It must take you a coon's age to set this all up, and then take it all back down again! WOW, it sure is amazing! The kids in your neighbourhood must just love it! big hugs :)

You were asking about the wispy product that I use on my cards. The package only says Flower Arrangement Filler. I bought it at a flower shop and it feels a bit like a wood product, not synthetic. Hope that helps.

  3. Hi Pamellia,
Thank you for stopping in... I think it took longer to upload the photos! Not quite a coon's age (where do you get all these great expressions?), but a good week's worth of "free" time to set up. We had rain this week, so it really put a damper on the preps. But we were up 'til midnight last night taking it all down, as we were expecting a big storm last night and then more storms today. So now it is all in the garage and on the screen porch waiting to be put back in boxes. THAT will take a coon's age! Off to the store to dismantle the window now, but that should be a piece of cake!

Yes, the kids loved it...we get kids from out of the neighborhood here, as most of the kids here are teens and were all at football games last night. Not as many as usual, but good quality trick or treaters! They loved it! Made me so happy!

Thank you for the info on the filler. I thought it may be that, but haven't seen anything like it in our few craft stores. Will have to visit a florist.

I am still going to e-mail you, just to chat...you seem like one of the good guys:)! Just to touch base with my e-mail. I saw one of your previous comments with your addy, but just haven't had a minute or two to spare, even to say hi!
    Hugs!

  7. YIKES.... I think as a child I would not have come to the door... too scared... as a adult, I would say you WENT WAY OUT there.... great effects and so very very creative in so many ways... love the bones coming out of the ground and leaves... wow... a lot of time... Pamellia says coon's age... I would say the life of a giant... LOL... they live forever and a day is equal to a month of our time... LOL... oh well... coon's age or not... a lot of time and so very effectively done Sara... you are the QUEEN of Spookyness that is for sure...

We don't get any kids here at all... when up north we would get 100's... but I think today the parents are a little scared of what the kids might get... in so many ways...
but a shame it has happened... thanks for sharing all the GREAT Pics... so much ghoulishness going on in Wilmington... Love,Light and Peace.....Bonnie

  8. Hi Bonnie,
You made me laugh! I will tell Lauren you liked her leaves. She imported them from another part of our yard. Ethan made a special tribute to you, and I will e-mail a pic to you. We are not going to have Internet service tomorrow, some time during the day.
Thanks for coming by to see all the festivities! Love, Sara Emily
