Be Merry

Welcome! I'm sharing a Christmas card featuring Tim Holtz' Mechanics 3D Texture Fade and a sweet Christmas Paper Doll.

I started by embossing some Christmas Kraft Stock from last year release with the 3D folder. I spritzed the back of the card with water and passed it three times through my die cut machine as Tim recommends, placing my paper face down for a different look. After it was completely dry,  I sanded the card pretty hard and swiped it with the Iced Spruce Distress Oxide pad. I swiped the back portion of the folder with Black Soot Distress ink, carefully replaced the card-realigning it with the design on the upper portion of the folder. I made a couple more passes in the die cut machine to transfer the ink.

I layered this panel over a Stitched Rectangle panel cut from black card and layered again over another design from the Christmas Kraft Stock pad and another layer of black card. I sanded the second Kraft Stock panel and blended with Iced Spruce oxide ink.

I kept the embellishments simple with a  Mini Paper Snowflake cut from gold corrugated card from my stash highlighted with gesso and a Holiday Flashcard cut down to fit my smaller card. I cut "be" from a Holiday Talk Metallic sticker--"Remember This" and layered it on some black card to complete my greeting. Don't you think this cute Paper Doll is the epitome of merriment? She's been sanded lightly and colored with Vintage Photo Distress Crayon.

I hope you're inspired to have a play with Tim's 3D Texture Fades or perhaps get those Christmas supplies out and get an early start on your Christmas crafting. I'm delighted you stopped by today! As always, I welcome questions and suggestions.

Hugs and Blessings!
