Replace Fear With Curiosity

Hello friends and visitors! I have a quick post for you today of a card I made for my daughter this morning. This is possibly one of the fastest cards I've made in a year! She needed some extra encouragement, and I've kind of gotten the hint she loves to get snail mail--who doesn't? So I had to rush to get this in the morning mail.

Stuff used:

Trash:  Gold foil envelope, cardboard waste packaging  Stash:  black cardstock, gold vellum, gold thread, metallic rub-ons (to highlight embossing) Distress: crayon, ink, and paint in Black Soot Ranger:  Pewter Perfect Pearl Mist, Gold Mixative, Multi Matte Medium, Adhesive Foam Tape  Ideaology: Token, Small Talk stickers Die:  Sizzix Movers and Shapers butterfly Embossing Folders: Tim Holtz, Sizzix

Because I did not do a step out, please let me know if you have any questions!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
A Vintage Journey-September Challenge-Create Within a Frame While I didn't use a physical frame, I framed my focal panel with a mat made from an embossing folder, a gold foil envelope, paints and rub-ons. The token is framed by the center of the embossed compass--a perfect fit--cooincidence???
Southern Ridge Trading Company-Your Favorites Mixed Media, texture, butterflies and my daughter!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and for leaving one of your lovely comments! I read and truly appreciate each one! Your encouraging comments about my daughter warm my heart!
Hugs and Blessings!
Sara Emily

  12. Snail Mail is always fantastic! You are such a good Mom!!
Your card is wonderful and I know she will love it and treasure it too! Your encouragement means a lot to her. We all need our Mom's approval and encouragement.
I need to replace curiosity with actual doing - I am far to curios and spend far to much time on the computer looking at what everyone creates!!
