Metallic Masculine Birthday Card for Scrapy Land Challenge # 77 Anything Goes

Hello friends and visitors! Today starts a new Anything Goes challenge at Scrapy Land, and I have chosen to make a masculine birthday card. On a sad note, this will be my last challenge on the Design Team. With a new job, and the busy season already in full swing, my time for crafting is very limited.

In need of a quick card, I turned to my good friend, Autumn (SewPaperPaint) and the card she sent me for inspiration. (details HERE and pictured below)  Her card is even more beautiful in real life!  I love her shimmery, chalky background, and I tried to recreate that on my Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Oval and on the card's base. You can see I even borrowed some of Autumn's design elements! Thank you for the inspiration, Autumn!

I colored my Tutti Vintage Car using a technique I've shared in a step by step HERE. I just switched my paper from silver to gold toned. I cut a second car from black fun foam to lift it up and to give it a shadow.  I also used the gold toned paper on the embossed and rusted background.

Maybe you can see the car is starting to rust.

My Memory Box Deluxe Gears and single metal cog were heat embossed in black with touches of rust paint. Perfect Pearls sprays were added for patina.

I used an old Sizzix stamp and die set (Alterations Birthday Blueprint) for my sentiment.

That's all for me today! Now it's over to YOU! I hope you will stop by the blog to see all the amazing inspiration from my teamies, and then pull out your dies and play along with our Anything Goes challenge. Scrapy Land is giving away two $10 gift certificate to our winners, one random and one chosen by the Design Team. The Design Team will also chose Top Picks! You have two weeks to play along!

I want to thank our fearless leader, Anne Temple and each and everyone of the Design Team for all their support and friendship! You all are amazing! I hope to be playing along with the challenges when I get the opportunity!

I'm playing along with these challenges"
SumMore Fun Mood Board #14 I went with the colors.

And thank YOU for stopping by and all of your sweet comments!
Hugs and Blessings!

That's a stunning card, Sara Emily - amazing colours and layering to create a beautiful masculine piece which I, for one, would be more than happy to receive (how come the men get all the cool stuff?!).
