Hello friends and visitors! Welcome to my second post for today, quite different from my first rusty one HERE. It's time for a new Anything Goes challenge at Scrapy Land, and today I have an all purpose card full of die cuts and frills for you!
For my layers, I chose one of my newest Thinlits dies by Sizzix--Stitched Rectangles . While the shop doesn't have this die set, they carry a lovely set by Tutti-Designs. I used a punch for my tags. My papers are some oldies from my stash. I applied gesso to the kraft corrugated board backing.
My sweet butterfly is Poppystamps Theo Butterfly, sadly no longer available in the shop. But the shop carries so many other butterfly dies. Backing the butterfly is one of my favorite Memory Box dies Chloe Stem.
My small handmade flowers are cut from Sizzix Small Tattered Florals Thinlits dies. The beautiful large blossom at the center of my cluster is a gift from my good friend Niki (Pawsitively Creative) who has been setting the blogging community on fire with her amazing and creative artwork. (Check out her tophats!) Greenery is Tattered Lace Ornate Leaves. You will find many leaves dies on the virtual shelves of Scrapy Land to complete your project.
I never tire of including these Ferns by Frantic-Stamper in my designs. This time I've heat embossed them with Shabby White Frantage powders.
Poking out from between the layers is Quinn Flourish from Memory Box.
Peeking out from underneath is Garden Gate by Spellbinders and Palace Oval Frame by Memory Box, also embossed with Frantage.
And inside I was inspired by my good friend Kathy Clement (Kathy By Design) to make a little pocket to include a gift. I've added another sweet butterfly and a Tim Holtz quote.
Flowers, stems, greenery, twine, and butterfly were all colored with Distress Oxides and inks.
I hope you have found some inspiration here, and there's always plenty more inspiration at Scrapy Land challenge blog! I hope you'll pop over there to see all the beautiful projects made just for you by my teammates! And then it's over to you! Won't you play along to be in it to win one of two generous gift certificates to the shop? We hope you will!
I'm sharing with these challenges:
Country View Challenges - September 2017 - Metal Not very obvious, but the metal is my gold embossing powder on the ferns and oval frame.
Creative Artiste-Challenge #30- "Anything Mixed Media Goes" I used gesso, inks, Oxides and embossing powders.
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge- Stamp It My stamped quote is inside.
HeARTful Stamping Challenge- Anything Goes + stamp I used a stamp inside my card.
Mixed Media World-MMW#28: AMMG with a Twist (Moodboard) Inspired by the last photo with the delicate leaves and the dewdrops and green in the top middle. Beautiful mood board!
Mixed Media Place- August challenge Inspired by so much in this board--the pinks, the dewdrops, the flowers, the layered rooftops (reflected by my layers), the gird of the calendar (my fence) and the movement of the books pages.
Mixed Media and Art-August challenge Inspired by the greens, the layers, the twig wreath, and the shabby bench.
Thank you for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments! I love reading them!
Hugs and Blessings!

Oh boy Sara, I sure do love when you tap into your feminine side! Dang, this is so pretty! Look at all those wonderful layers, wow! The corrugated cardboard adds a wonderful texture, and the stitched layers are fantastic. Beautiful colour palette, you can never go wrong with pink and green! The tag tucked in is a nice addition and the fancy die cut gate is so perfect for a summery garden card! Beautiful flowers, elegant embossed leaves, tons of foliage and even a little pocket on the inside, what's not to love! My favourite bit is the butterfly, oh what a delicate little thing fluttering in the garden with a pearly centre, gorgeous!!!

This is so lovely Sara, so much gorgeous detail. Thanks for the lovely comment over at mine and have a great crafty weekend, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteHow luscious and beautiful, Sara! My mind escapes words (maybe Irma took them with her? LOL if that's the case, my husband may be grateful LOL). I especially like how your wrote your post, encouraging the use of other dies - a fantastic idea for Scrapy Land. My favorite parts are your "scrunched" flowers and the Finishes on the frantic ferns - I have not considered using texture laden mediums on delicate die cuts! Beautifully done. hugs, de
