I splattered with watered down Picket Fence Distress ink, and sprinkled on Iridescent Shimmer powder. I dried from underneath to prevent the powder from blowing away. I love how it left the shimmer around the edges of the splatters.
The frame is a thick wood chipboard I picked up at a yard sale. I coated it with gesso and colored it with Distress Stains in Mowed Lawn and Broken China.
To finish my hanging, I added a couple of Remnant Rubs and some of the tiniest bits of Pyrite Gemstones in my package.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely breathtaking Sara, and what a contrast to the grungy card post I just came from. Really shows how versatile you are with your crafting styles! This project is so beautiful, I absolutely adore the colour palette you have used, what a lovely rainbow of spring tones! The black fairy really pops against that splashy, splattery, incredible rainbow! I am never tired of seeing the many creative uses you come up for to use embossing powder! The hair embossing powder is so much fun, and glittery wings is just the thing a fairy needs! I love the little sentiment and the fairy dust you created on her hand! Another amazing project Sara, you rock!! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a magical wall hanging Sara, adore the background with the Kimilese water stamping and Iridescent Shimmer 'bubbles' and your fairy is so beautiful, gorgeous choices of embossing powder for her!
