Peace and Eternal Joy 12 Tags of Christmas-Funkie Junkie Style-Week 11

Hello again, friends and visitors! I really appreciate all the wonderful comments you've been leaving me on my latest Christmas projects! It really inspires me to move forward and makes my days so bright! Well, here we are at week 11 of Linda's 12 Tags of Christmas-Funkie Junkie Style! I can't believe how fast the time is flying! Linda already has her last tag posted and ready for us to draw inspiration from. As a quick reminder, this fun 12 week challenge is being sponsored generously by Linda's shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique and is winding up December 19th--just 5 days from now!

As you can see, I drew my inspiration from nearly everything about Linda's tag and pretty much just cased it except I didn't have some of the products she used. Red polka dot paper...check! Doily....check! Whimsical sentiment in white on black...check! Dimensional snowflake...check! Second hand vintage lace...check! Vintage book page, distressed edges and heat embossed snowflakes...check, check, check! Button, baker's twine, ribbon, stitching, additional white on black sentiment and other pieces...check, check, check, check, check! Yep, it's all there!

I used Tim Holtz Merriment Stash from....maybe last year, Tim's Doily Thinlit die cut, and Layered Snowflake die cut. I used crackle paste on the snowflake and edged in Frayed Burlap distress ink. The stamps are from an unknown maker--circle of Joy, Peace and snowflakes all heat embossed in white. The larger snowflakes heat embossed on the background are from Tim's Scribbled Woodland stamp set. (Does anyone else notice the cabin from that set is the same cabin in an Artistic Outpost set? What's up with that?) The stitching appears on my black and white ribbon. The book page is from a vintage sheet music book--a  page of written introduction with lots of music related words on it. I purposefully left the ink off the red panel's edges for some contrast and a snowy apppearance.

Most of the products I used can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

I am sharing my card with the following challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers #179-Christmas With a Twist My twist is a non traditional color scheme.
Fashionable Stamping Challenge #118-Anything Goes I used 1 image from a new Tim Hotlz set and and 4 images from an old set that I can't remember the maker.
-Penny Black and More December Challenge -Black and White Plus One B/W plus red!

Thank you so much for your visit and comments during this busy season--they are made even more special knowing your time is precious!
Hugs and Blessings!
Sara Emily

  14. Love your card, Sara Emily! Amazing you had all of those supplies - makes it easier, for sure! I do love that red polka dot background with the white embossed snowflakes and, of course, that huge snowflake with the little snowflakes on black background. You did a great job layering your doily and other elements - perfection, Sara Emily!

LOL, I noticed the log cabin a few weeks back and googled it. From what I could tell, that artwork was re-licensed, which I thought was interesting. Love both sets, have neither...yet.
